SUBMISSIONS

LONGITŪDINĒS is a magazine with annual print editions and exclusive online content. Print editions are multilingual and feature texts in their original languages. Translations are published online.

Submissions are currently closed.

When open, we accept unsolicited submissions of fiction, poetry, drama, and visual art. All submissions must be previously unpublished. We accept previously untranslated work even when the original is published, on the condition that they are accompanied by the written permission of copyright holders. In such cases, we encourage you to seek permission to also republish originals.

We accept submissions of essays on literature, literary translation and art, and book, event, and exhibition reviews. We welcome pitches for interviews with writers and artists in any language. Work should be aimed at serious but non-specialised readers. We accept translation proposals of original content published on LONGITŪDINĒS into languages not yet covered.

Simultaneous submissions are acceptable as long as we are notified immediately if the manuscript is accepted for publication elsewhere. Please submit no more than one short story (max 6,000 words) or six poems at a time to submissions [at] longitudines.com. If you submit more than one poem, make sure to include the title of each poem within the body of your email.

Name, e-mail address, and short bio of the contributor should be included within the body of the attached documents. File names should display the contributor’s surname.

We are not always able to acknowledge submissions. If you have not heard from us after 6 months, please assume that we won’t be publishing your work at this particular time.
